Welcome back the chart! I am back after my absence last week. I do apologise I was away in Cornwall for a couple of days. So back to it then. The number 1 this week has to be The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Finally this long anticipated film has been released! I am yet to see this film but I do hope to soon. Let us crack on with the rest of the chart.

At number 2 we have Rise of the Guardians. Entertaining the children and the rest of the family this Christmas. At number 3 is Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger!. From what I have seen of it, it looks like a decent enough Christmas film! Of course in our chart the film Skyfall is still riding high at number 4. I went to see the film again for a second time the other day. I thoroughly enjoyed it again! At number 5 we have another children’s film, Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings. Another spin off film with the character of Tinkerbell first seen in the classic tale and film Peter Pan. At number 6 we have The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 still keeping the audiences coming. Number 7 sees Seven Psychopaths, starring Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken. A dark comedy from the creator of In Bruges. Number 8 sees the film Silver Linings Playbook staying in the top ten. I have heard nothing good reviews about this film. Argo is at number 9. Another good film that people should go see. Number 10 sees Great Expectations probably bringing in the older audience or the Grey Pound as the term has been coined!

To kick things off here is this week chart, which sees last weeks number 1 knocked off by last week’s umber 3.

At number one this week is Rise of the Guardians, the movie I picked for you to see in November just goes to show winter movies can still pull in the family crowd. Skyfall is at number two so its nice to see Bond holding off the rest of the chart. At number three we see Seven Psychopaths, ive heard good things about this movie and wouldn’t mind seeing it myself. Twilight drops to number four, I tried to see this last week with KirkieChick but we ran into some cinema problems. Nativity is still pulling the cinema goers at 5, while at 6 we see the Silver Lining Playbook. Number 7 see’s Great Expectations still hanging on with the older generation enjoying this Dickens classic. Ben Affleck’s Argo is still in the chart at number 8 with End of Watch at 9. last but no means least another family film, which is about to become a stage show Madagascar 3. So there we have it this week chart.

Now I don’t get to do this often, but I spend times when I am board watching movie trailers on the internet. Not all the tie just now and then and tis last few weeks have seen some awesome trailers for up and coming movies. so below are just a few I thought I would share with you.

Welcome back this week! The number 1 in the chart has changed this week. Skyfall has in fact been able to take the top spot from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. So let us see how the rest of the chart fares!

We have a number 2 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 still bringing in the fans of Twilight. I suspect that some men are being dragged to watch the film by their partners! At number 3 sees a new entry with children’s film, Rise of the Guardians. An evil being threatens the innocence of children around the World; the Immortal Guardians must save them. They consist of the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Jack Frost and others. Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger! is at number 4, gearing up for Christmas. Number 5 sees the film Silver Linings Playbook. All those Bradley Cooper fans seeing this one! Number 6 is a new entry for a Charles Dickens classic, Great Expectations. I don’t think this was the best time to release this film. There was only an adaptation on BBC1 last Christmas of this story. I think it may quietly slip out of the top ten within a couple of weeks. Number 7 sees a Bollywood film called Talaash. A murder mystery thriller. A famous Indian film star dies in a car crash. A cop investigating meets a sex worker as well as struggling with personal psychological problems. There is a connection between the mystery and these people, which will change their lives. At number 8 is Argo, a wonderful film. I highly recommend. End of Watch is at number 9. This looks like a good cop film. To finish the chart off is Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted at number 10 keeping the children happy!

We have at number 2, Skyfall, keeping audiences entertained with action and suspense! Number 3 we see a new entry with Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger!, a sequel to the Christmas film Nativity, released in 2009. This time around David Tennant plays twins who are both teachers. One at a posh private school and another at a state school. They both enter a singing competition to come up with a Christmas song. This film will probably do well in the lead up to Christmas. A good family film! Number 4 is a new entry as well with Silver Linings Playbook, starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. The film tells the story of Bradley Cooper’s character coming out of a mental institution and mending his life again. Helping him is a next door neighbour, Jennifer Lawrence’s character, who has also suffered from mental issues. Together they hatch a plan to reunite Bradley Cooper’s character with his estranged wife. Unfortunately not everything goes to plan! Gambit is another new entry at number 5. A remake of a 1960s Michael Caine film. This time around Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz and Alan Rickman star. Colin Firth plays a disgruntled employee of Alan Rickman’s character. He finds a way to get one over on him with the help of Cameron Diaz and a fake painting. Not sure how this film will do. It may be a matter that it gets lost in amongst Skyfall and Twilight. Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted sits strong at number 6. A Jake Gyllenhaal film is new at number 7. End of Watch, tells the story of two cops who do a drug bust and become the most wanted amongst the criminal gangs. Number 8 sees Argo still hanging in the top ten. I highly recommend this film! The Master is at number 9, touted as another Oscar contender along with Argo. The Bollywood film Jab Tak Hai Jaan is at number 10. A good chart this week, a mix of films.
